DKSH wins Ringier Technology Innovation Award 2019

DKSH has won a Ringier Technology Innovation Award 2019 in the category“Functional Ingredients - Thickener, Emulsifier, Surfactant and others”

Shanghai, China, June 21, 2019 – DKSH's Business Unit Performance Materials, a leading ingredients and specialty chemicals distributor, was awarded for its innovative product “Weylcare ATBS”, produced by its valued business partner WeylChem. Weylcare ATBS has many diverse benefits for formulation development, including excellent sensory feel, silky, light, cool and non-sticky UV light tolerance as well as EO-free, cold-processable and excellent bio-compatibility. It is also a multifunctional viscosity modifier for oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions and the perfect thickener for all kind of personal care applications.

The award was accepted by Carole Lin, General Manager, Performance Materials, DKSH China & Hong Kong. DKSH provides Market Expansion Services to WeylChem and exclusively distributes its products in 16 Group-wide markets. DKSH distributes the products to the personal care industry in China and Hong Kong.

2019 marks the third consecutive year that DKSH has won a Ringier Technology Innovation Award. 44 innovative product entries were awarded by an independent panel of judges from around 124 submissions. Compared to 2018, this year has seen a dramatic increase in the number of participants and reflects the importance of the award in the industry. In 2017, DKSH won in the category “Functional Ingredients – Stabilizer” for its product ExpertGel, created by its business partner Polymer Expert. In 2018, DKSH repeated its win in the category “Effective Ingredients” for its product Wacker Cavamax W8/ Retinol complex, produced by Wacker Biosolutions.
