By closing the acquisition of the largest field marketing provider Crossmark in Australia and New Zealand, DKSH once again acquires a target in a growing business segment and adds value for its clients and customers.
Media release
Zurich, Switzerland, February 27, 2020 – DKSH has successfully completed the acquisition of the largest field marketing provider in Australia and New Zealand. The acquisition strengthens both the services portfolio of Business Unit Consumer Goods as well as its geographical market coverage in Asia Pacific. DKSH is active in field marketing through its joint venture DKSH Smollan, which has a strong regional coverage in now eleven markets. This makes the joint venture the leading provider in Asia Pacific.
DKSH announced the transaction in December 2019 and has now closed it as planned. With 250 employees, Crossmark generates yearly sales of around CHF 50 million¹ at sound profitability and return on capital. As stated earlier, DKSH will acquire the New Zealand entity of Crossmark and DKSH Smollan the Australian entity. DKSH owns 51 percent of the joint venture with Smollan and will therefore fully consolidate both entities as of March 2020.
Stefan P. Butz, CEO, DKSH, commented: “By completing the acquisition of Crossmark, we further strengthened our leading market position and together with Crossmark, are looking forward to marketing our client's products even better.”
