DKSH Thailand goes mobile and saves paper

DKSH Thailand launched the “Mobile Printers for Collectors” initiative to reduce paper waste and time spent on administrative tasks in Business Unit Healthcare.

Media release

Bangkok, Thailand, December 5, 2019 – In DKSH Thailand, more than 65 million pieces of paper are produced on a yearly basis. This status quo gave DKSH Thailand the impulse to start the “Mobile Printers for Collectors” initiative. Strengthening its commitment to sustainability activities, DKSH launched the concept of mobile printers in Business Unit Healthcare, which serve as excellent tools to help the collectors reduce the number of pieces of paper they have to print and carry around.

The mobile printers for collectors combined with the A4 printing and the E-tax invoice are three important improvements that DKSH Thailand is currently rolling out. Using tablets with a mobile collector – the so-called “mCollector” – program to do collection with customers and having mobile printers set up to issue the collection note and summary receipt to customers account for a reduction of paper use by 60 percent over the span of three years. From a financial perspective, the impact of this project equates to an overall time saving of 15 percent, which can be used to do more collection on one hand and to invest in the future development of the company on the other.

Carl Johan Sodersterjna, Head Country Management and Country Finance Manager, DKSH Thailand, said: “We will continue to roll out many more of these projects supporting our Group-wide approach to sustainability. They are our responsibility and, at the same time, represent a great opportunity to improve and modernize our operational processes. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone involved in driving this initiative forward.”
