DKSH has been appointed by Cambodia’s Ministry of Health to supply Molnupiravir, the first oral medication for COVID-19 in Cambodia.
Cambodia, Phnom Penh, December 13, 2021 – DKSH Business Unit Healthcare, Asia’s leading partner for healthcare companies seeking to grow their business in Asia and beyond, has been appointed as an official supplier of Molnupiravir, antiviral medication for COVID-19 patients, by the Cambodian Ministry of Health, starting December 3, 2021.
Under this agreement, DKSH Cambodia is the first in the country to supply over four million capsules of Molnupiravir to treat 100,000 patients in public and private hospitals as well as clinics and pharmacies across Cambodia. Molnupiravir is an antiviral pill that inhibits the replication of certain RNA viruses and is used to treat COVID -19. It is the first oral medicine in the world to be approved for use against COVID-19. The drug is administered to patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 symptoms within five days of their onset.
