DKSH Singapore Supports Sanofi Consumer Healthcare in Bringing Purpose Day 2023 to Life
DKSH Singapore and Sanofi Consumer Healthcare, an innovative global healthcare company, come together to deliver Telfast® Purpose Day 2023, centered around the cause to Fight The Inequality of Air Quality.

Singapore, October 26 2023 – DKSH's Business Unit Healthcare, a leading partner for healthcare companies seeking to grow their business in Asia and beyond, supports its client Sanofi Consumer Healthcare on bringing their Telfast® Purpose Day 2023 to life. Both organizations were engaged to support the cause to Fight The Inequality of Air Quality by planting trees through the National Parks Board’s (NParks) registered charity and an Institution of Public Character (IPC), Garden City Fund’s Plant-A-Tree Programme.
Each tree planted contributes to the OneMillionTrees movement, which aims to restore nature back into Singapore by planting of a million more trees across the city over 10 years. This is part of the efforts to transform Singapore into a City in Nature, a key pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
Together, both Sanofi Consumer Healthcare and DKSH Singapore came together and planted a total of 50 trees, along Old Tampines Road. The activity engaged a total of 60 employees, who contributed a total of over 70 hours to the implementation of this event. Special emphasis was put on the engagement of sustainable practices during the event, including carpooling, and taking of public transport to the site location.
Reuben Ong, Vice President of DKSH Singapore Business Unit Healthcare, said: “We are glad to have this opportunity to partner with Sanofi Consumer Healthcare as we seek ways to give back to our environment and in turn, enhance the health of all the patients we serve.”
Besides providing shade and lowering the urban heat island effect, trees also provide habitats for biodiversity and improve air quality. “Trees play an important role in creating a livable environment in our City in Nature. They serve as natural air filters that provide us with clean air. Through this joint planting with Sanofi Consumer Healthcare and DKSH, we hope more organizations will see the importance of tree planting and work with us through the Plant-A-Tree Programme to support the OneMillionTrees movement,” said Professor Leo Tan, Garden City Fund Chairman.
This activity is a testament to our partnership and commitment to our clients at DKSH Healthcare. Additionally, this aligns with our sustainability objective by making a positive local impact through local community activities, while fulfilling both purposes - to help improve patient outcomes with better air quality and to fight the inequality of air quality.
