Media release

Bangkok, Thailand, August 19, 2019 – DKSH Business Unit Healthcare, Asia's leading partner for healthcare companies seeking to grow their business in Asia, has extended its partnership with KaVo Kerr, a leader in innovative products and services in global healthcare environments, to expand its infection prevention products across Thailand. DKSH will provide marketing, sales and distribution services for KaVo Kerr's Metrex™ products through DKSH's extensive network of hospitals, clinics and healthcare professionals in Thailand.

Since 2016, DKSH has managed the marketing and sales, as well as distribution of Nobel Biocare Systems, a world leader in the field of innovative implant-based dental restorations, through DKSH's dental channel. Both Nobel Biocare Systems and KaVo Kerr are operating companies within Danaher's Dental segment. This year, DKSH will also drive growth of KaVo Kerr's Metrex™ infection prevention products through DKSH's medical channel.

Metrex™ is specifically designed to address cross-contamination across the entire healthcare facility, for healthcare markets such as acute care, primary care, ambulatory surgery centers, emergency medical professionals, extended care and the public sector. Its goal is to help hospitals drive down healthcare-associated infections through proper product use and education on infection prevention best practices to improve the life of both healthcare practitioners and patients.

Winston Phua, General Manager SEA from KaVo Kerr said: “We are delighted to partner with DKSH and to make our products available to more hospitals in the country. We are committed to bringing new and innovative products to Thailand that meet the needs of people and improve their lives. We would like to ensure that all people within all areas of the healthcare environment are properly protected from cross contamination, so focus can be put on the most important thing: getting the patient better.”

John Clare, Vice President, Healthcare, DKSH Thailand and Indochina, said: “The extended collaboration in Thailand emphasizes the strong relationship between the two companies and reinforces the strong position and presence of DKSH in Asia. We are proud to partner with KaVo Kerr, who like us believes in improving access to healthcare products for all. We provide the best possible service to our clients as well as healthcare professionals so that they in turn can take care of patients. With a broad reach across our medical channel, from hospitals to clinics, we are committed to driving expansion for KaVo Kerr in Thailand.”
