DKSH and Smart Respiratory Products partner to help patients with asthma

DKSH and Smart Respiratory Products have announced their partnership to provide asthmatic patients with innovative, easy-to-use tools to monitor their respiratory condition and keep track of their symptoms and health.

Bangkok, Thailand, March 12, 2021 — DKSH Business Unit Healthcare, Asia's leading partner for healthcare companies seeking to grow their business in Asia and beyond, and Smart Respiratory Products, a London-based digital healthcare company, have entered into a collaboration to bring Smart Peak Flow, a compact digital peak expiratory flow meter (PEFM), to asthmatic patients in Asia. The collaboration under the DKSH subsidiary Favorex spans Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.

DKSH's Favorex receives an exclusive license and supply agreement to launch this smartphone-enabled medical device in pharmacy, hospital and eCommerce channels across Asia. With Smart Peak Flow, asthmatic patients can simply monitor their health and conditions by blowing three times into the device, and results will be shown on the app installed on their smartphone. The Smart Peak Flow app spots patterns of patients' asthma and provides data that reveals whether they are in a “safe” or in a “at risk” zone. Results can be shared instantly with healthcare professionals or respiratory care team to receive their advice about medication.
