DKSH Malaysia's healthcare distribution center in Shah Alam has been recertified level “A” for Facility Security Requirements by TAPA – an internationally recognized accreditation for world-class standards of security and safety practices in logistics and supply chain, making it the first in Malaysia to attain such recognition with the additional IT and Cyber Security requirements.
Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, May 13, 2022 – DKSH, a leading Market Expansion Services provider, has received the level “A” recertification in Facility Security Requirements (FSR) by the prestigious Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) for its Shah Alam distribution center in Selangor.
DKSH’s Shah Alam distribution center was first certified as level “A” for FSR in 2019. With the introduction of IT and Cyber Security requirements by TAPA in its FSR audit process in 2021, the distribution center has once again been recognized by TAPA for its industry-wide respected and high standard practices in supply chain security management.
The TAPA certification is internationally recognized as one of the most stringent and independent logistics and supply chain security certifications. As a non-profit organization, TAPA unites global manufacturers, logistics providers, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders with the common aim of reducing cargo losses from supply chains through the development and application of global security standards. To achieve a TAPA certification, an organization is subjected to a wide range of stringent auditing by independent TAPA-trained and accredited auditors, focusing on how the goods are securely handled throughout the whole supply chain in the facility.
DKSH Malaysia is proud to maintain our TAPA-certified standards for the Shah Alam distribution center. Along with the Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Good Distribution Practice for Medical Device (GDPMD), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 certifications, we are set to establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security management system to protect people, products, and business partners' properties.
Jag Rai, Vice President, Supply Chain Management, DKSH Malaysia, said: “As a leading player in the Market Expansion Services industry, we recognize the importance of supply chain security for our healthcare sector and place high priority in ensuring the safety of the products in our custody. The recertification reaffirms our commitment to upholding high security standards and confirms our capability in providing excellent supply chain solutions.”
