Petaling Jaya, August 19, 2021 – DKSH, the leading partner for companies seeking to grow their businesses in Asia and beyond, has donated medical consumables to Healtopedia, the appointed healthcare operator at Bangi Avenue Convention Centre, in support of the country's national immunization program. Selected as a healthcare operator by Protect Health Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of ProtectHealth Malaysia that was established under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Healtopedia vaccinates over 2,500 people daily, and is expected to inoculate hundreds of thousands vaccinees.
The donated medical consumables, which consist of sanitizers, alcohol swabs, surgical gloves, and surgical tapes, were purchased with proceeds raised from an internal fundraising activity – DKSH Steps Challenge – organized by Fantree Club, DKSH Malaysia's sports and recreational club for employees.
Dymitrah Jothiahnantham, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Healtopedia, said: “On behalf of Healtopedia, we are extremely grateful to DKSH for supporting us as we help Malaysians achieve herd immunity. We would like to say thank you to DKSH for enthusiastically doing their part in the fight for a healthier Malaysia. DKSH's support reminds us that we are all in this together. We are certain that helping Malaysians get vaccinated will drastically improve Malaysia's chances in the battle against COVID-19 and allow Malaysians to return to a normal state. With the rise in numbers, it is clear how important being vaccinated can protect us from the virus."
Nicholas McLaren, Head, Country Management, DKSH Malaysia, said: “The pandemic has emphasized the urgency for active support of our local communities. Our employees have, once again, stepped up for a good cause through this fundraiser, a notable example of delivering on our company's purpose of enriching people's lives. As a responsible corporate citizen, we are grateful for the opportunity to support our nation's effort in achieving herd immunity through this donation to Healtopedia.”
