The current severe epidemic control regulation in China has led to serious challenges of insufficient logistics capacity across Shanghai. DKSH continues to tap the potentials, expand channels, and maintain reliable logistics and transportation services for its customers.
Shanghai, May 23, 2022 – DKSH’s Business Unit Performance Materials in China quickly adjusted its distribution solutions for its customers in response to the severe logistic and distribution control situa-tion arising from COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures in Shanghai.
As of early April, there were over 360 medium and high-risk areas identified across the market, espe-cially in Shanghai. Due to the different policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in each province and city, checkpoints have been set up at the junctions of various cities. The national and provincial highways are almost impassable, the highways are often inaccessible, and the layers of checkpoints make the transportation distance of vehicles increasingly difficult and long. Despite the situation, DKSH continues to seek potential solutions, expand channels, and maintain its logistics and transpor-tation service levels.
DKSH China always pays high attention to the epidemic prevention and control policies across the market and updates its warehousing and logistics capacity in a timely manner to create opportunities and conditions for customers to stock up. The company has formulated alternative plans according to the changes in the epidemic control policies to ensure that goods will be shipped from its Chengdu, Chongqing, and Guangzhou warehouses. Through teamwork and the policy adjustment of transporta-tion resources, the logistics impact caused by the epidemic closure and control will be reduced, and the urgent needs of DKSH China’s customers will be met.
Carole Lin, General Manager, Performance Materials, DKSH Greater China, said: “At present, we are actively mobilizing all resources, strictly implementing safety and health management measures, and making every effort to ensure the smooth progress of our production as well as supply and logistics chain to provide our customers with the innovative products and outstanding service support they are used from us as their trusted partner.
