Under the motto “Give Blood – Save Lives” DKSH Cambodia organized its seventh blood donation event. With the annual blood donation campaign, DKSH supports the National Blood Transfusion Center
Phnom Penh, Cambodia, June 28, 2024 – Every year since 2018, DKSH Cambodia organizes a blood donation campaign with a different motto. This year, it was the first time that DKSH cooperated with other companies under the motto “Give Blood - Save Lives.”. The event was held at GIA Tower Phnom Penh in the presence of Dr. Meuk Sameam, Deputy Director of the National Blood Transfusion Center, other representatives, and employees from DKSH Cambodia as well as the partner organizers. Together, almost 400 blood bags were collected for the National Blood Center.

Dr. Meuk Sameam, Deputy Director of the National Blood Transfusion Center, commented: “The country faces an annual demand of 140,000 blood bags nationwide, with the NBTC currently meeting 75 percent of that requirement. Unfortunately, voluntary blood donation fulfills only 19.5 percent of the country’s overall needs. This blood donation event aims to cultivate and promote a culture of voluntary blood donation. The initiative seeks to connect this act with the highest ideals of humanity, highlighting the selfless contribution individuals can make.”
