DKSH distributes Thermo Fisher's Ultra-Low Temperature freezers to provide solutions for COVID-19 testing in Thailand

DSKH will provide integrated services for Thermo Fisher Scientific's range of Revco Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) freezers in Thailand. The partnership will also contribute towards specimen storage for COVID-19 testing as per WHO guidelines and is in line with DKSH's strategy to expand services for the scientific instruments industry.

Bangkok, April 10, 2020 – DKSH Business Unit Technology, the leading Market Expansion Services provider for technology companies seeking to grow their business in Asia, has partnered with Thermo Fisher Scientific to promote and expand its range of ultra-low temperature freezers in Thailand. This collaboration is in line with DKSH's strategy to expand its services for scientific instrumentation.

Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world leader in serving science. Under this new partnership, DKSH will provide marketing and sales, distribution and logistics as well as after-sales services for Thermo Fischer Scientific's Revco portfolio of ultra-low temperature freezers. The agreement will mainly focus on the clinical sector.

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Revco RDE Series Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) freezers are designed to provide a worry-free solution for emerging pathogen sample specimen storage. This product range's specifications are well in line with WHO's guidelines on Covid-19 Virus Nasopharyngeal swab specimen storage. These standards stipulate that the recommended temperature for storage is -70°C, if the expected storage time is more than 5 days.
