Enriching People’s Lives With Better Homes for the Elderly
Vietnam is among the most rapidly aging markets in the world. From a population of over 100 million people, nearly 13 million are over 60 and by 2030, this is expected to reach 18 million, accounting for more than 17 percent of the population.

Vietnam currently stands third in Southeast Asia, after Thailand and Singapore, in the proportion of the population aged 65 and over. By 2036, it will go into the aged population, transitioning from an “aging” to an “aged” society.
In preparing for this, Government agencies, policymakers, and businesses are adapting to an aging society by developing policies and services for more sustainable social development for the population.
DKSH in Vietnam is doing our part to extend care and support in creating a positive impact on local communities and inspire everyone to join us in creating a more sustainable and inclusive society. Our latest CSR initiative featured more than 100 employees and participants in the DKSH Loving Kitchen 2023 program.
In collaboration with the Red Cross Society, we helped the poor, disadvantaged, and the elderly living alone in Ho Chi Minh City by cleaning, cooking for them, and bringing some cheers to their homes. We also upgraded their house kitchen cupboards and installed first aid kits for those who lived on their own in rural areas to create safer and more comfortable living conditions.
As part of the pre-event activities, we managed to raise more than VND 108 million through our flea market events. Over six months, we reached out to 15 deserving households with more than VND 30 million worth of sponsored consumer goods and gifts.
At DKSH, our purpose is to enrich people’s lives. We do so by providing reliable access to high-quality and responsible products and services, creating sustainable value for our partners, and contributing to raising the quality of life in the communities we operate in by generating jobs, perspectives, and opportunities for people’s development and growth.
