Media release
Hamburg, September 16, 2020 – DKSH Business Unit Performance Materials and CQV have signed an exclusive distribution agreement to promote effect pigments for cosmetic products in Germany and Austria.
CQV is a Korean-based company that is primarily active in the production of effect pigments. The company sells its products on the domestic market and overseas markets. The pigments are suitable for cosmetic as well as industrial applications and are also used in the automotive industry. CQV operates according to the ten key principles of the UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) and is involved in the board of the Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI). This initiative aims to create a responsible and sustainable supply chain for the raw material Mica, which is responsible for the shimmering effect in all kinds of coatings. Numerous CQV products for cosmetic applications already comply with the COSMOS standard, which makes them suitable for natural cosmetics.
With the expansion of the partnership DKSH is broadening its cosmetic portfolio with a wide range of effect pigments for the use in decorative cosmetics, nail polishes, skin and dental care.
“We are pleased to expand our existing partnership with CQV for our Business Line Personal Care Industry. This new agreement is an important next step that will further strengthen the cooperation between CQV and DKSH, which already exists in other areas in Germany”, commented John Roemling, Vice President, Performance Materials, Europe, DKSH.
